Disposable Vs Reusable Swim Nappies

There’s nothing better than to see a baby having fun and being confident in the water.  If you have a baby or your toddler isn’t potty trained as yet and they want to dip their cute little toes and more into a public body of water, you need swim nappies. 

Regular nappies won’t work.  The material used makes the nappies so absorbent which in turn makes them super saggy and the weight is so that they get to the point of falling off. Some disposable swim nappies also hold water and can weigh your baby down. And they definitely can’t hold anything inside once they’re stretched out. It’s pretty ugly.

Remember that swim nappies need to have a snug fit to contain poop, so they will probably be tighter than your everyday nappies.

While disposables are cheaper and offer convenience, they still tend to sag and are more prone to letting something slip out. Most offer ‘tear off’ sides to remove the swimming nappy but with a ‘pull up’ design for getting them on, it can be a pain! Especially when you have a wet, wriggling baby or toddler!
