Reusable Swim Nappy Size & Fit Guide

Choose your child’s size using their current weight, rather than age.

Size Weight guide Best for
Standard 4.5–12 kg Babies and smaller toddlers
Large 10–18 kg Older babies and toddlers

What if my child weighs 10–12 kg?

The sizes overlap because children have different body shapes. If your child is between 10 and 12 kg, we generally recommend choosing Large for more room and longer wear. Choose Standard only if your child has a particularly slim build and the leg and waist seals remain comfortable.

How should a swim nappy fit?

  • Snug around the waist and legs, with no obvious gaps.
  • Secure enough to help contain solids.
  • Comfortable enough for your child to kick, crawl and move freely.
  • Not so tight that it leaves deep marks.

Adjusting the snaps

Use the front rise snaps to adjust the height, then adjust the waist snaps. Check both leg openings after fastening. If the nappy gaps when your child moves, tighten the fit. If it digs in or restricts movement, loosen it or move to the larger size.

Important

Swim nappies are designed to contain solids during swimming. They do not absorb urine, because an absorbent nappy would also absorb pool water and become heavy. Always check your pool or swim school’s requirements before attending.
